Select Revenue from the drop down list
Chart 1: National sales manager can view how zone's under him/her are doing in terms of sales volume for 2007 and 08...user can drill down by clicking the Zone A -2007 (drill down)
Chart 2: This shows how Regions under Zone A performed for the year 2007, user can further drill down by clicking Region 1 for Corn.
Chart 3: This shows sales of all the territories under Region 1.
You can click Back anytime you wish to return to the previous chart.

I will be very thankful to you if you could give a quick solution in my scenario.
User have to select a label from a combo box and on the filtered rows got to build a Bar chart. This much is done. Now further i need to drill down on the bar chart and show the respective detailed excel sheet data of the corresponding bars. So its a two level kind of drilling. combo box-> bar chart -> detailed excel sheet over one bar.
The problem I am facing is bar chart drill will always return data pertaiinig to one single row which this particular bar corresponds to. But my requirement is to click a bar, and get the detailed data of that category, which lies below this row in the next multiple rows.
How can I do the second step drill down for detailed multiple rows data.
I shall be thankful for your advice.

ReplyDeleteThank you for showing us the drill down features. I have a problem. The .xlf file you attached here, when I first time drill down in preview, it works fine. Then I go back to the first chart and try to drill the first chart. But all the chart opens up right away. It should be one by one click drill down. Again when I run your .swf file, it is working fine. My question how you fix that problem in the .xlf file. Appreciate it

I have the same problem that Ray mentioned. I have created a dashboard with couple of drill down features and when I first time open the .xlf file in preview, the drill down is working fine. But the problem arises when I go back to the first chart and try to drill down again it opens up all the charts at once. How can I resolve this issue? Any idea?

ReplyDeleteI am using two pie charts in my main Dashboard. When am clicking on the first pie or second pie chart it is supposed to show another pie chart with the same main data. Here i enabled drill down.The problem is drill is not working always.Could you please let me know the solution for this?

I see the same issue with the sample mentioned above.
ReplyDeleteclick on either of the Regions under Zone A, B or C
and then further drill down by clicking Region 1 for Corn. click Back and try to select a different region.
You will be able to see the previous selection.
Here, as well the previous memory selection is not released.
This behavior is by design. :(
